Amazing food, excellent service, can not recommend enough.... Books too!

Good food fast service. Staff is very friendly. Only issue is the menu has to be a bit more clear on pricing with certain items.

Had a lovely salad with curry chicken. It was a beautiful weekend day so we sat outside. The servers were a bit in the weeds. Nice selection of sandwiches, soups and salads. The cupcake frosting got a hard pass from my daughter, but otherwise all was good.

Staying the week in Madison and have now gone to the cafe twice. On both occasions I have experienced subpar customer service. The amount of staff working compared to the wait time was unacceptable, and the first visit they did not even get my order right. Wish I could speak so highly about this place because the food is very good, but unfortunately the staff and their lack of care for their paying customers makes me question if I will return.

This is a fantastic place to visit. Not only great choices of books and neat gifts to purchase but they have a great little cafe attached to it. The food is delicious, the staff in the cafe and in the Bookshop are absolutely lovely people. They are so helpful and pleasant. Have been going there for the last several years on my trip up to Madison. A welcome change from the hubbub of New York City. You will enjoy every minute being in this bookstore and Cafe.
