I love the little intimate experience this restaurant offers. each of its desserts is a great opportunity to end its culinary experience. if they have the opportunity to try the house made limoncello!
Eating was fantastic. well prepared, well presented. the personal was friendly, attentive and went in detail about the menu. they would highly recommend!
We met a few more here to dinner on a Saturday night. we had reservations and sat right in front of this little restaurant. it was a cold february night and was grateful for the heavy curtain at the entrance, which was a decent task to keep cold Scottish air from flooding the place. our server could have been new on the job. we felt haste to order. when we decided not to order any appetizers, our little tellers were taken away, at the moment later a basket delicious brot came on the table without telling. I wish that brot had come with something like a rosmarin-infected olive oil and/or butter. we were immediately told that they were from a daily special swordfish escape. I agree with it because it is not something that a restaurant wants too much. After I placed my order for the $17 amatriciana (farro fusilli pasta in a smoked pork, bevel and tomato sauce), our server came back to tell me they were out. I ended the ordering of the $20 gnocchetti con 'nduja (small kartoffel gnocchi with spicy calabrian chili porkworst ragout with tomato and smoked ricotta salata.) it was excellent, with just enough spicy for most people. pasta recipes are profitable for restaurants, and that is ok. that is, I think the portion size should have been bigger or when it came with a small veggie or salat side. the noise level was perfect for talks and the lighting has a warm glamour. they seem to have a well-stocked cash.
Cocktails and eating were fantastic, and we appreciate the cozy, relaxed atmosphere. we had the antelope (antelope) and coda di bue (oxtail stew) from the special menu and the cinghiale (wild boar ragout) from the main menu. the food was delicious and the portions were perfect for a good price. recommend osteria papavero
I just got back from Italy and honestly this restaurant is nothing like what I experienced there. So overpriced and not authentic Italian food, even if the ingredients are somewhat traditional to Italian menus. I ordered a pasta and received a dish more similar to chili, with what was basically like a flavored broth with meat, (extremely overcooked) pasta, and a little cheese. I'm well aware sauces can be thin, but that watery? Why did you put on so little cheese when that would have thickened the sauce The noodles barely had any flavor, and nothing clung to them. My partner ordered a gnocchi dish and was not even full after eating because he was given so little. Sure, in Italy they have the first and second plate, but they know most Americans don't make it past the first. Yet this restaurant keeps the prices of each plate the same as what you'd pay in Italy but reduces the portion to half. What a disappointment. Thanks for ruining our anniversary.Edit: Just adding that we specifically wrote in the reservation it was for our anniversary. We were put at the weirdest table, in a corner by the coffee bar. And of course seated next to the loudest people ever. They were literally yelling. I couldn't hear my partner talk to me.
