Nick's And Lounge - Madison

I stopped by Nick's for a quick meal, and I was really impressed! The food was delicious, and the service was prompt. I highly recommend making a reservation, as we were fortunate to find a seat.

I tried the party melt, which came with fries cooked to perfection (and I don’t say that lightly), delicious sour chopped coleslaw, and a fresh kosher dill spear. They use pumpernickel bread and at least two slices of cheese in the patty melt, making for a creative and beautifully paired dish. This was my first visit, but it definitely won’t be my last. Besides my favorite bar, The Plaza, this place might just become my go-to spot. The service was also top-notch. Our waitress was professional and friendly throughout. I will definitely be coming back!

It was quite calm on a Wednesday night, but overall, it was a nice experience. This was my first time trying a gyro, and I thought it was quite good for $16, which seemed reasonable. However, the staircase and the entire floor leading to the restrooms were sticky, which was rather unpleasant considering the situation.

The spanakopita is the best I've had since moving to Wisconsin last May. The service was excellent, and it's conveniently located right across the street from the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Our server was extremely kind, and the atmosphere was both unique and enjoyable. However, I felt that the experience didn't justify the $30 per person cost. The food was merely average. That said, I would still consider returning when I'm not on a budget.
