I've been to this bar many times traveling in and out of Madison over the years, and always received good service and decent food. Yes the prices are high for what you get, but it's an airport. Shouldn't be that surprising. Yes the bartenders are quick to give you the check, but again it's an airport. The food isn't top-notch, but it's prepared quickly and filling. Not a five-star establishment, people.. it's an airport bar.
We had a bit of a delay due to weather and choose to get food before a long day of travel. Found out it was a torey miller restaurant which made us happy. His places have always been enjoyable place to eat. We had a hamburger, with some sort of light ranch dressing. Hot and great. We also had the chicken club with aged chedder, crispy bacon, avacado tomato and lettuce. The chicken was cooked great. Whole sandwich was wonderful. We also both had a side salad. Good but iceberg lettuce. Service lady started out grumpy and coughed on my wife. But she got happier and ended up be very good. Airport prices. $55 for 2 sanwiches and 2 salads.
I thought this place was great. Friendly bartender and good beers. I would definitely stop by here again.
Burger was ok a bit dry, service was not great, Jeff was very rude when we asked for a menu. We wanted to just turn around and leave. Didn't get the tiny cup of coleslaw that was included in the meal, had to ask for it.
Mad Town? They ought to call it Sad Town. 40 bucks for 3 pretzel sticks and a chicken sandwich that was not fit for consumption on a stale bun. Really, really sad.
