Chef gaccione has made a very nice work to open a raised new american restaurant in madison. my fiancée and I came here for the brunch last week. we arrived shortly after the opening and were among the first to arrive for the day. they have made a fantastic job that rennovates the restaurant, it is very open, but still intimate. eating is very tasty, even a little expensive, especially for brunch. I had chickens, she had an salate and suppe. all main courses were delicious! I have always loved chickens and waffels, and these youngs do it right! the chicken is crispy, a tad spicy, but also sweet. the waffel is sweet potato and is more savory. to dessert we had the pineapple cake that left a little to wish. Especially since it was $10. we ate in the other restaurant of chef gaccione in morristown, south pine. the menu is very similar. (almost too similar. I would like to see a certain variety, but please do not take my chickens away) we will definitely try the dinner menu again, as it seems to be very popular later on the day. very excited to see this place in the inner city of madison!
We celebrated my wife's birthday here. just both of us. in front of the house (andrew) and our waitress (alex) were the top notch. they made this dinner more then only dinner was it an experience! that was before they brought out all the spirits to blow the hell! chef leia is a magician. I highly recommend asking what seasonal, new in the menu, or their server favorites. but choose everything, we are superior to try everything. it is totally affordable because it is byob. we brought a $12 bottle of wine then prefer an additional $60 for a bottle in the restaurant and spent these extra savings on delicious apps! we live in nyc and are now and then in jersey for the work and try to make it one of the restaurants of chef leia every time.
When you imagine a restaurant in your mind's eye that embodies the term "hole in a wall" it'll likely resemble the Central Lunch. Located in the small town
Our daughter and son in law brought us here for breakfast Joe, the owner & cook is second generation owner (88 years in operation).
