It has been a while since my last review, but I wanted to share my thoughts on a restaurant my partner and I visited in March 2023 during my first trip to Ireland. We were recommended this place, and it did not disappoint. It was here that I tried my first pint of authentic Irish Guinness. I later learned that Murphy's is the local stout from Cork, so I had to compare it with a Murphy's as well. The Guinness was the best I've ever had, surpassing the one I had at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin. The Murphy's was also exceptional. The food was delicious and filling, and the staff were incredibly warm and friendly, mirroring the hospitality I experienced throughout my travels in Ireland. We will definitely be returning during our next trip later this month.

I have been dining at this restaurant for years, and recently they have improved their offerings. I am not a fan of the bread they use (from a local bakery), so we usually avoid lunch. However, the East ferry chicken on the evening menu for €17 is a great value. The only issue is that the sauce that comes with it can vary from divine to mediocre. The wagyu beef skewers are flavorful but can be a bit large and chewy. The sauce for the beef also ranges in quality. There have been instances where key ingredients were missing from dishes. The tacos are inconsistent, sometimes perfect and other times undercooked and rubbery. Once they address these issues, this could be a fantastic restaurant. The service is generally good as well.

The bartenders at this restaurant are fantastic! The locals are friendly and there is live music on certain nights. The pub is beautifully decorated and spacious, with plenty of seating. It definitely has the most charming bartenders around.
