Padre Burgos Castle Resort Restaurant

This is something of a continuation of my review of the Castle Hotel. The food is excellent! We stayed at the Castle and ate dinner and breakfast numerous times. The food was always fresh and delicious. We had great breakfasts with eggs to order, toast,...juice and coffee. Always good and hot! Dinners were to die for! We had Lechon (crispy pork), prawns, fish (grilled once and fried another). All the dishes were excellent. We couldn't have been happier with the selections. Delia really cares for this kitchen and keeps high standards. Do not miss out on the best dinner in Southern Leyte!!!

We stayed at the hotel and ate dinner there every night. We did eat lunch out at the moose and squirrel one day to get off property and try something different and there was absolutely no comparison. Yes, the food is expensive relative to other...local restaurants but the quality is very high and the portions are abundant. I would highly recommend eating dinner here at least one night even if you are not staying here. Do not miss the raw fish preparations if available.

Just went to the restaurant. The lobster where perfectly cooked, abundant with veggies and rice, light creamy sauce, a delight. The place is cosy, romantic with a private beach. The owner are charming people and the place got the exclusive touch and class and keeping...a family atmosphere in same time. Definitely a call to come back and stay longer there

There are a few items on the menu but Delia Warren does come up with almost anything from her kitchen. She offers Filipino dishes with her own personal spin on it; thus, we had beef caldereta with pineapples, stir-fried squid with sweet chili sauce and...a really refreshing fish tinola cooked the Boholano way. The dishes could be quite expensive compared to other restaurants but they were always prepared impeccably and very delicious.

Delia, the better half' of the owning Warren couple, really knows how to cook. The meal that we enjoyed here was delicious and properly cooked. The prawns were juicy and therefore mouth watering, while the accompaying vegetables were crisp and filling. Service was just right:...not too intrusive but never too far away. A five star experience at a three star price for a Westerner.
