The Blue Bird Ranch - Machias

Enjoyed my birthday lunch at this little slice of heaven! Lauren, as our waitress! I ordered baked stuffed haddock with mashed potatoes and peas! My boyfriend had a very large haddock sandwich! Look at the size of it! The food was delicious, only one complaint: my potatoes and gravy were not hot or even warm... his fries were not fresh, hot or even warm. Dessert was taken to go... chocolate cake with boiled frosting and peanut butter cookies! Would definitely return!

Clean, family oriented restaurant! Generous portion sizes (enough for two meals for our non kid meals) and excellent cooking. The menu changes, so we were unable to get some of what we wanted this time(fried avocado) but everything was delicious! Spinach dip, Chicken Parmesan, seafood Alfredo with scallops and shrimp, shrimp and clam plate…. So good!! Fried Shrimp and clam plate with mashed potatoes and veggie of the day pic.

Great traditional American/Maine cuisine exactly how your Grandma would have made it, lick your plate delicious! Our server Sara was awesome and added a little flair and sauce suggestions to lunch specials. Lobster Stew was flavorful with simple ingredients, and the dessert to take home worth every calorie. Hubby enjoyed the real batter onion rings and steak wrap almost as much as the sweet corn nuggets and southwest egg rolls we shared for apps. Definitely a new stop on our route to Lubec. The food was delicious. I would recommend trying the onion rings, they were similar in flavor to Frenches onions which I love. We also had a really flavorful shrimp appetizer along with a variety of other things that we all really loved.

Food is always good atmosphere was great We had our own little room where we had such a big group of people and our waitress was awesome cannot complain.
