Chalet Bergrust Bistro-café

A nice cozy restaurant/lunchroom with great selection of sweets, food and drinks. Including a variety of beers and wine! Lovely and a fast yet very social service. Beautiful views of the nature and cityscape of Maastricht and located in a peaceful area (close to the cave- and castle tours starting point). Def recommended, especially if you feel like trying out the province delicacy; vlaai!

Came here Christmas Eve without reservation, not expecting a table, but within minutes we were seated comfortably drinking a local beer (Krachtige Victoria) and enjoying a local specialty (zuurvlees).

Visited here for a drink during the jazz festival in October 2022. Was a really good atmosphere, but no staff available organising tables, so was a free for all during a very busy period. Although slow during such a busy time, the staff were really helpful and friendly and we invited other members of our party and had a great couple of hours sitting under the heaters. Toilets were very clean and easy to find, although getting up the stairs after a few drinks was a mild challenge. Would recommend … – show
