La Voile Fusion - Maaloey

I have visited this restaurant multiple times as a local. The staff is unwelcoming and gives off a vibe that you're not wanted, leading us to only order takeout recently. Despite the poor service, the food is amazing, which is why we continue to return. However, when I finally had a craving for sushi on one of the few days they were open, they refused to serve us, even though it was 2 hours before closing time due to a large number of orders. In conclusion, the food is good but the overall experience is not worth it.

The food at this restaurant was delicious with a diverse menu to choose from. The venue was clean and had a lovely ambiance. However, the staff could have been more attentive.

This place was recommended by the hotel concierge and he was right it was excellent. great food with an Asian twist. I believe it was run by a Norwegian chef and wife,

I had dinner here with my family to celebrate a birthday. Two had filet mignon, three of us shared a La Voile de luxe sushi platter. The food was very good, and beautiful presented. The platter consisted of different nigiri, sashimi and maki. It was meant to be for four persons, but if you are four hungry grown ups, it can not be enough food. Sevice was not as good as the food, no one asked if we liked the food, and no one asked if we wanted coffee and dessert. If possible I would like to give 3,5 but decided to go for 4 because of the quality of food. With better service this restaurant can in fact be excellent.

The food at this restaurant is excellent. I have visited both as a dine-in and take-out customer. The sushi is better than what you would find at a supermarket. However, the real standout on the menu is the burger. It is a gourmet experience unlike anything I have had in Norway. I have had it multiple times and it never disappoints. The beef patty with BBQ sauce, melted cheese, and a fried egg on a high-quality bun is delicious. The fries and salad were also great. The only downside is the lack of good customer service. The staff seem a bit unhappy and don't go out of their way to make you feel welcome or comfortable.
