We went as a party from a cruise. The menu was very heavy for a lunchtime with a terrine to start and braised beef as main course. The dessert was very boozy but at least light. Would like to try a choice from the menu to form a better opinion.
My husband booked this restaurant for my birthday. As soon as we arrived we were rushed to our table and given a menu. No one asked us if we wanted an aperitif or took time to explain the menu. The staff were so young and inexperienced. The whole lunch felt like a production line: rushed, impersonal and clumsy waitressing, we had to ask for bread and water. We order a very nice bottle of white wine (96euros). The bottle was barely chilled and we had to ask to put it in a cooler. We could hear the kitchen staff shouting. The food was good though but the whole atmosphere ruined it for us. There are a lot of nice restaurants in Nice and this is not one i will go back to.
When we dined here for lunch, the majority of tables were filled with tour parties. In hindsight, the prix fixe menu is way to go. We opted for a few dishes from the a la carte menu which was not particularly good value for money. The dishes we tried were good but nothing that you could not find elsewhere for a better price.
