Love this place. Don't get there enough. Management are friendly and make you feel comfortable. I'm not a huge Indian fan but do love the Thai side. My sister lives the Indian cuisuine.
Let me begin by saying that I find it difficult to rate a restaurant/takeaway establishment in a suburban shopping centre any higher than a four. The ambiance is simply not there, particularly on a cold Sunday night when we are the only dine-in clients and visitors picking up takeaways let in a chilly breeze. Having dispensed with that, let 's move on to the food. Nite Spice promotes itself as an Indian and Thai Restaurant but the menu is predominantly Indian. We were given a friendly welcome and complimentary papadums upon our arrival. For entrees my wife and I shared Onion Bhaji $6.90) and Coconut Prawns $9.90). Both were a fresh, tasty start to our meal though the coconut was a tad hard. Moving to our mains. We had ordered Chicken Jhalfrezie and Beef Korma both $14.90) accompanied by Basmati rice $4.50). The serves were generous and the rice fluffy unlike some 'gluggy ' offerings encountered elsewhere). The chicken was tender and moist and the tomato and capsicum sauce nicely spiced. The beef too was well cooked and the accompanying creamy sauce was well balanced. As stated, the serves were generous and, upon completing our meal, we were asked if we wished to take away the remainder. It 's always appreciated to be asked rather than have to do the asking. Residents in the Riverton area seeking a tasty, authentic Indian meal, be it dine-in or takeaway, would be advised to give Nite Spice a try.
Very good flavours, serving size and value for money. We enjoyed take away madras and Goan curries. The Goan curry sauce was SUPERB, but I did not like the fish used (I think it was Basa, the texture of which I dislike). The madras was also very nice far above average. The poppadums weren't very nice, but they could have suffered a bit from being transported in a paper bag. Overall very, very impressed. We will eat here again.
Just enjoyed a lovely dinner at Nite Spice. Could not fault the food or service. We were welcomed by a nice gentleman with a big smile and enjoyed some delicious food. We will definitely return.
