Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe ordered oysters for entree and they were passable but the stingy bits of dried up lemon that came with them looked like they'd been in the sun for days!!Our mains were mostly cold but ediable. The only thing that was hot was the vege's they forgot to bring out, we had to ask for them and clearly they'd forgotten and only just cooked them as they were the only thing that was hot.I'd heard good things about this place before coming and I was pretty disappointed. The food and service are no where near worth the prices they charge. Apparently this is due to new management. Wish we had eaten somewhere else
We were unsure about trust the chef menu but the waitress sold it well to us. The hoummos was pleasant and the cured salmon was ok. Then we was given potato soup which was disappointing for a tasting menu. Something none of us would order. Two of us didn't eat this it we didn't want to get full on potato soup and not something we eat out especially at $65 per person!My margharita arrived at this point it took a long time and did not go with potato soup! I was looking forward to a refreshing cocktail but sadly it just tasted of alcohol i couldn't drink it.Our food was disappointing from here on.We received a pork dish it was very dark in color and was slow cooked to the point of being tough and dry with a salty bitter dark sauce. Some pieces had a liver texture and others hard and dry at the ends. The dish was quiet salty too. We had a few mouthfuls but just couldn't eat this dish. We tried to stay positive. The next dish that arrived was whiting this was pleasant we had 2 pieces each. A waitress came with our final dish.A plate of octopus and potatoes. We hunted for the small tough pueces of octopus which was mixed with undercooked potatoes.We felt disappointed and concerned at the cost of this unbalanced low standard tasting plate that we trusted the chef to create for us. The waitresses knew how we felt because they asked us for feedback with the un eaten dishes. We was given poached pears and ice cream i am not sure if this was part of the tasting menu because "the waitress asked us if we wanted dessert or was we too full"We spoke to the manager and told him how we felt.He gave us a $30 discount for the pork dish and said that other people enjoyed this food and that there was nothing wrong with it.$220 dollars for 3 people was an expensive night out for food that we did not eat. We wished we had just ordered off the menu we would certainly have ordered some veg side dishes to compliment our meals.
Was a bit uncertain about this when we booked but my goodness what an amazing experience. Wonderful food and wonderful value. The staff were welcoming and looked after us all night. Can't wait to get back there. Please don't change.
The entree was interesting but not great. But the steak was beautiful and cooked to perfection. The food was unexpected for the rating of the hotel. It is so convenient to walk out of your room in the Barossa area and have a nice meal at your door step unless you are paying top dollar. We will return. Staff were lovely and made good recommendations.
The food was just lovely. We ate here for two nights, while staying at Lyndoch Hill. Photos of two of our meals are available under my TA review of Lyndoch Hill. Entrees from 18.90, Mains from $32, Sides at $8.50. All vegetables picked freshly from the kitchen garden on site (photos of Kitchen Garden are also on my TA Review of Lyndoch Hill).
