The Thistle - Lyndhurst

This is the best place in the state / nation for fish and chips, I have been here since my youth when they are setting up in Kearny, LET ME TELL YOU!!!! no other fish n chips I have ever tasted in my travels or in my life was as good as DIESER? The Haddock is perfectly cooked with the most delicious dough I?ve? The ambience of the restaurant reminds you of the Cobblestone Restaurant, which you would see in Ireland/Scotland. The staff has been there for years, so you know? This is a little dry!!!!

Always clean up. This is not the first time here and fish was always good in the past. Somehow this time fish had too much dough and frits were not as crispy as usual. Not sure if something changed. I always prefer fish and chips from here as a restaurant chain. We'll be back here, but hopefully it'll be normal again.

Absolutely delicious, as always! Service was wonderful, the ambience is cozy, and everything we ordered was cooked for perfection! Will be back soon!

Food is done to perfection. Fresher than fresh. Portions are more than fair. All food is homemade. From soups to French fries, no frozen or reheated here. Staff is family friendly. We recently moved to the area Thistle is now on our regular eating out list. Looking forward to entertaining here. My only problem is I feel they close way to early.
