Burntwood Tavern Lyndhurst

Stopped by the Lyndhurst location on the way home. I've ordered delivery from this location many times and eaten at another location before. We ordered the Calamari as an appetizer which I didn't think would travel well for a delivery dish. It wasdelicious and I maintain that it probably wouldn't be as good delivered 15 minutes later. For an entree I ordered the pecancrusted trout which included a more than generous portion and was perfectly prepared. Again I don't think it would have traveledas well for delivery. My wife had the Tortolini which she said was good but she felt it needed something else. The service wasgood for a Thursday evening and the wait staff were friendly. Definitely worth the visit.

Come see Frank, he was our waiter, excellent guy, very knowledgeable about the restaurant. We came for lunch so it wasn't crowded, the chefs were on point with the cooking, the price point was great, you don't mind spending the money if the food isexcellent! Definitely will be back, check out the photos!!

The food was decent, but mostly on the cold side. The servers were friendly and the decor was lovely. The restaurant was very clean. They also had a great Bloody Mary station.

The salmon was undercooked and lacked flavor. Overall, it was a mediocre dining experience.

Overall, our group enjoyed the Firecracker Shrimp appetizer. The Burntwood Burger with a fried egg was delicious and cooked perfectly. The Tortelloni Carbonara was good but a bit too salty. Unfortunately, the Sirloin steak with red wine demi-glaze and potatoes was also overly salty. The steak was ordered medium but arrived closer to medium-well or well-done. Opinions were mixed on whether we would return to Burntwood Tavern or just consider it a one-time experience.
