Teryaki House - Lynchburg

Went here based on reviews. Not sorry for it at all. Friendly service. Gyoza was yummy and flavorful sauce, sushi was fresh and yummy I got the Fire Cracker, general tao's chicken was tasty also. Will go again before I leave Lynchburg.

I recently tried the American Dream sushi at this restaurant and initially thought it may be too small, but it ended up being enough to fill me up. The high quality food was unlike anything I've tried before. For my second order, I went with the Chicken Hibachi and Spicy Roll combo. The chicken hibachi was delicious and I will definitely be ordering it again in the future. I can't wait to have the spicy roll combo for dinner. Overall, the Yamato chain restaurants never disappoint with their delicious food.

The owners/operators are always awesome! Super friendly and provide excellent customer service. The food is the best in town for what it is. Also, if you're a student and provide your I.D. you can get a free drink. I recommend the Yamato Udon Stir Fry.

The restaurant is decent with good prices for the quality of the food. I would choose to go here over another place, but it would be nice if they opened up the dining room, as we have all moved on from that concept. Please allow us to dine in.

Yamato is a popular restaurant near Osaka, favored by college students from LYH. The staff at Yamato is much friendlier than at Osaka and the prices are slightly lower. With a college ID, you can get a discount or a free drink. Takeout is available, and there is a wider variety of entrees beyond just hibachi chicken. The Gyoza is a must-try, with the option to buy up to 60 pieces. The hibachi meals at Yamato taste healthier compared to Osaka, with higher quality chicken that is not fatty or charred. While the yum yum sauce at Osaka is better, the rice at Yamato is not as dry. Overall, Yamato is worth a try, especially for the Gyoza and the free drink offer for students.
