Rendez-vous - Lynchburg

Our belated Valentines dinner at Rendez-vous, turned out to be a Rendez don’t! Took over an hour to get our appetizers, drinks were never refilled, my steak was dry and chewy (which at least they comp’d), never offered any steak sauce, server disappeared, an all around bad experience. This was the first (and only) time we will eat there. Saw servers bringing out one salad or plate at a time, it was absolutely ridiculous. Had to tell our server to bring our entrées together, instead of one at a time. I mean seriously, who runs a restaurant this way? On top of that we were seated near the side door, where people are constantly coming and going and letting the cold air in. Not inducive  to an enjoyable dinner at all! The only bright side to all of this, is that I got to look at my beautiful bride for an extended period of time!

Once we were seated for our 7pm reservations it took 20 minutes to be approached by a waitress. At which point we only received water and menus. The couple next to us informed us they had been there for 2 hours before they received their food (their entrees came 10 minutes apart). We then chose to get up and leave because we were not going to pay for such horrible service and an excruciatingly long wait for dinner. Wouldn't recommend to literally anyone if they operate anything like that normally.

My dish had tons of pieces of whole rosemary, which are like chewing on a pine needle. My husband's dish was very under seasoned and no salt or pepper was on the table.

Absolutely the worst dining experience of my life, as I stated before, the ambiance was incredible the atmosphere was incredible, the music was awesome but everything associated with the waiting staff and the cooks and the amount of wait and the process of getting the reservation was all absolutely a waste of time, context: I made a reservation that was changed without letting me know, I went there and waited two hours for them to finally take my order (mind you no bread on the table for nibbling on, also not refills) and then waited another 30 minutes and our food hadn’t even been put on the grill yet. Don’t bother, chic fil a will have better service and your lady will like it just as much if not more.

Made a 7:30 reservation on Valentine's day. Arrived 10 minutes early. Got seated at 8:30pm. Had our orders taken at 9:30pm. Got our food at 10:10pm. No one refilled our water. Other customers who came AFTER us got served before we even got our order taken. Never experienced such poor service. And then as the cherry on top, it took them 20 minutes to get my change after I paid. They comped my bill $10 but that didn't really make up for the experience.
