Koto's Japanese Steak House - Lynchburg

The server was pleasant, the cook was entertaining. There are things that have changed and not for good. Half a cup of soup was like dirty water with 3 small scaling discs. The yam sauce was not the same taste, bland and pale in color. Taste more like Mayonaise. Vegtables were mostly onions. The worst part was the two against us. 1 woman worked there and was out of the layer, so a lot of horror went from the door to her, back and forth. At one point she became angry at something and started screaming and threatening to "go out" with this other employee. The screaming was loud and intimidating. Her little child became afraid and clinged to the grandmother. No manager or someone did something about this change. Our dinner was made very uncomfortable to say the least. Then our check came, to our surprise a 18% grotto was added to the sum. No one told us that or mentioned that I was just signing and trying to include the tip! This usually happens for a big party, not a couple. They also did away with the Early Book Special and increased their prices. But that seems to be the same everywhere. This restaurant needs a deep cleaning. This will be my last visit.

I went here over the weekend and the place was totally abandoned. I had to wait 10 minutes until my soup evem received the whole table next to me. I also ask two more wotresses for my soup. Our waitress was barely seen. They used a lot of cheap vegetables such as cabbage and carrots to cut the Habachi vegetables, but what really got I was they added their own tip of how 20% on my bill even I was a person and they still wanted a bigger tip because and I quote, we need to share all the tips with the cook. This cook was the only highlight of the meal and would have received the intire inflated tip.

It's a great place to hang with friends, alone or on a date. You get to see how your food is made right in front of you, so you know that it is fresh and made to order. It's really dinner and a little show. The hibachi kitchens we were all great and the waiters we had were all super nice. If you go for dinner on your birthday, you can get a Hibachi Entree for a cent.

The only reason why it gets 1 star is because of the cook he was the only good. The place is dirty like him. We had to hunt down the server for soup. She also copied an attitude because she explained the automatic 18%. Not satisfied with him for the cost of food. Never come back.

Giving this a 5 star review bc this deserves front page I have provided pics of dinner below GHETTO MANAGEMENT with an attitude. High priced ROTTEN MEAT that will take your breath away, literally, as the projectile vomit spews all over the walls. They offered 50 percent off the filet but the ticket came and we were still charged full price for the ROTTEN MEAT, instead of half for the ROTTEN MEAT. The rest of us that at were cleaning it up or flushing it down later. Management didn't want to listen to me so I posted here in hopes others would. YW.
