Many students at Liberty miss the charm of this place unless they live on East Campus, especially around the Square. While anyone can stop by, for us, it represented more than just a regular diner. It was a hub of fellowship and community, a spot to share meals, catch the big game, and awkwardly bump into familiar faces from class. The scent wafting from the restrooms became a quirky perfume we came to embrace. Doc's Diner was so much more than just a restaurant to me; it felt like a second home.
Doc's has seen significant improvements over the past couple of years. The service has become both better and faster, the food quality has enhanced, and overall, it's a more enjoyable experience (though I should mention, I haven't visited during peak hours). Typically, I would rate it between four and five stars, especially for a campus dining facility, depending on the meal. Most of the time, everything is satisfactory, but there are instances when my order isn't quite what I expected, or the food lacks freshness (for example, chicken strips and mozzarella sticks shouldn't be stale). Aside from those occasional issues, it's definitely a solid place to eat.
Not a bad spot! It's a fun place to relax, and the food is quite tasty. While it's not the cleanest establishment, I do enjoy visiting. So far, I've tried three items from the menu: chocolate chip pancakes, a black bean burger, and chicken strips. All of them were enjoyable!
