Big Lick Tropical Grill - Lynchburg

I love Big Lick! This is one of my favorites in Lynchburg and love to eat here when I visit. The service is good and the food is fresh! They also have fun music nights, which are lively.

I'm not sure why this is considered Caribbean food. We got the pretzels and the fried calamari as our appetizers. The pretzels were hard and the calamari didn't have much flavor. The fried pork chops were good, but the green beans were off and the baked potato was brown and overdone. We were visiting from out of town so we wouldn't come back.

Service was fine! Food was unbelievable. First, not sure what made it tropical besides one or two sort of related menu items. Maybe they have some good items, but we'll never know. My wife and I both ordered French Dip sandwiches. What we got was a hoggie roll with Steak-umms inside. I didn't even know they were still around! Sandwiches were terrible (cardboard beef), au jus had to be out of a jar and fries were tasteless. Should have gone down a couple more exits.

I would recommend eating here! It's located in an odd spot, but it's a great place to eat. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I got the big fish and it was great! It came with fries and slaw and was only $11! The prices are very fair, and the food is good!

I truly can't understand the positive reviews of the food. Maybe friends and employees. Let.me be blunt The food is terrible!! Horrid...yucky..bad . Burger so dry you have to take a drink with every bit You can shake the grease off the fries. Plates notice plural. Are chipped up . I would feed stray dog this food.! Now the reason for 2 stars and not one ..the band was great
