Tucker's Barbecue - Lyford

Had some of Tuckers bbq at a wedding last night 11/11/17. Bbq pork with barbecue sauce and mash potato was super, but the broccolisaw was the home run! I'm from Starr County and will be going to Raymondville very soon to get that fix again!

I love Tucker's. I love the atmosphere, I love the servers and owners, and most of all I love the food. I will start out by saying I have a limited diet and if chicken is over cooked I can't eat it without getting sick. Thankfully Tucker's knows how to cook chicken without compromising taste and quality. My first visit was just last week, I ordered a sweet tea and we got the chicken plate with potato salad and mac and cheese. The chicken was so tender and juicy not a single spot of dryness. The BBQ was delicious, the mac and cheese was amazing. So cheesy but over cheesy. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Tucker's staff and owners. #buyshopeatlocal

I was really disappointed with my experience. The food was good, but the service was virtually nonexistent. I had to get up seven times to take care of things myself. I even took pictures of the waitresses just standing around, checking their Facebook statuses together for half an hour. At one point, I went to get some sweet tea and had to ask if it was my responsibility to serve myself, even though the waitresses were only three feet away. It felt really disrespectful.

The customer service was disappointing; the staff had a poor attitude when I called, and the servers struggled with communication.

I was really disappointed with my experience today. I brought some food to our friends at VBMC, and when they opened it, all they saw were black buns.
