Le Relais - Lussac-les-Châteaux

We were looking for somewhere to eat and take a break in our 800km drive from Cherbourg to Dept 81, and spotted the hotel/restaurant as we drove through the village. Helpfully there is a massive car/lorry park right opposite. It was around 8pm on Tuesday evening and there was plenty of room, although more people came in later. We ate from the evening menu as others have said, this covered about 2/3 of the entire menu. After a nice simple amuse bouche, the starters arrived and were superb, as were the mains that followed. Service was good attentive without being intrusive, and the price was very reasonable. No wine because we were driving, but the carte looked good reasonably priced too. Highly recommended.

I am biased this is my favourite local restaurant. Consistently good food, beautifully prepared and presented and good value. Wine, both en bouteille or en carafe is well chosen and eminently drinkable.

On the road in mid-France, you get excellent food and wine for a fair price in the restaurant. It doesn't look of something special, but we got high quality service and food. The price was absolute reasonable.

Very good restaurant. He doesn't pay a mine from outside yet. Its room is immense and pleasant. Careful and smiling service. very good value for money! even astonishing that it is no more expensive in view of the delicious dishes offered. very simple menu in quantity of dishes, but rich anyway. and the menu changes very often. Delicious entrance, perfect dish with a melting meat and divine dessert! We smell the fresh house! Bravo to the chief! Besides, the plates are very well-docked, we don't force ourselves to dessert. A great discovery, we'll return for sure!

Good restaurant for a stopover meal. a very good hamburger but a limited choice because the menus a little expensive when you are with your family. a very large parking lot across the street to park.
