We stopped in Lumby after a long drive from Nakusp on a rainy Sunday. Honestly, it was the only place that was open. Despite a gruff welcome, we were pleasantly surprised by the good coffee and excellent apple cake, which made up for our initial negative impressions.
Sisters was the ideal choice for a tasty dinner. It reminded us of countless road trips we have taken in the past. The food was excellent as was the friendly service. Overall, a highly recommended spot!
Stop at this Lumby street café. Ordered the bacon cheddar burger with fries. It was the best burger I had for a long time. The large Patty was carburized, on a bungalow slightly 5 inches over, with a lot of sauce and fixations.... Delicatessen! You need two napkins for this meal. It came with Fritten, all for under $12. I can't wait to try other menu items. I'll be back soon to visit my sisters.
Travelling through for medical reasons and not much was open for food due to Covid. Got take-out from Sisters and I was happy. The Bacon Cheddar burger was to die for. Homemade patty, charbroiled to perfection and huge! The crinkle fries that came with it,...meh....I will get onion rings next time. The prices were very reasonable. The décor inside was nothing fancy, but this is Lumby. It did look clean enough from my brief run in and out for my food. I will be back.
