Not sure who Queen is but I can promise you she's a southern grandma. Nothing fancy, just good country cooking. Mac cheese A MUST HAVE.
I visited today on a Sunday which for most soul food places is the best time to go. However, this was by far one of the worst places i’ve eaten at. for one there’s was hair in the food which could’ve been expected when i saw the handler didn’t have on gloves or any netting. the food had no taste, no seasoning, and the prices were ridiculous. no drinks came with our meals, had to ask multiple times for hot sauce as well and cornbread after already placing my order over the phone, and no napkins or silverware were offered. the wait was quite long to say there was only one person ahead of me. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant. couldn’t even get a refund for the horrible food because of course there were signs put up specifically saying no refunds. I will not be back again, at least not this location.
My 1st time visiting the restaurant food was hot just wished I had a little more rice , gravy and the rib dinner should come with 2 ribs instead of one outside of not having any desert I’d visit again.
Out running errands with the wife and pulled in to the little gem on the side of US Highways 1 601. We've had Argentinian in Antwerp, Brazilian in Spain, and Venezuelan in the UAE, but we've never had Peruvian fare and we were wonderfully happy with what we found. This is a family run restaurant, and Maria Segura the chef and her family hail from Lima, Peru. The food was delicious, though the sauces offered were a tad hot for my wife. I thought they were delicious. (A word of warning, if you decide to sample the sauces served separately wait a moment before digging in. The bite comes late. My wife's fish and shrimp was delicious, and the strictly Peruvian fare I had was wonderful.
