Bodacious Bar-B-Q - Lufkin

I was often here and my family loves their barbecue. I just tried her new location in front of Frank Avenue/ Highway 94 in Lufkin and it was delicious. If you had a bad experience, give them a second chance. Love her baby back ribs!!

We ate inside and the staff was very good to answer questions we had. I have to make sure that things are not cooked in peanut oil as I am strongly allergic and they were knowledgeable about it. I also need to know what kind of wood they use for their smoking, as I am allergic to Pecan wood. Overall, the food was good. Her brisket was dry and was so broken that it was impossible to eat with a fork that just fell into pieces. It had a good taste the texture was just a little out. The building was very clean, the bathrooms were clean and the tables had no greasy residues that you would find in many barbecue restaurants for a small town I would say it is a good place to eat, but if we were in an area where I could choose a Rudy's, or a Pokey Joe's I would definitely go there first. I'll try them again before I make a final decision. Their prices were a little high a plate with a meat and sides, and a brisket sandwich came with two sodas was $20. That seemed a little expensive for what we received. Overall the staff was great and the facility was nice, the food was just meh.

The best barbeque in Lufkin!!! The prices are a bit high, but the portions also range for the hungry person!! The sauce could be a separate food group! That's the best! To taste not smokey or salty. Bodacious can be a little out of the way, but it is worth the effort!!

My mom and I went to Bodacious for a quick bite for lunch. The drive through service was fast and friendly. The food was top notch!! We ordered a sausage link and beans. They were so good!

Baby back ribs are AWESOME, they've got a drive thru so you don't have to get out... Nice and clean eating area if you do decide to dine-in though! Only thing I can say bad about em is their sides are a liiiittle lackin. And it's truly not that THEIR sides are lacking, just that Lufkin BBQ's beans and potato salad are better lol
