Strandperle, Lieblingsplatz - Lübeck

The Restauran “Strandperle” on the Travemünder waterfront overlooking the Lübeck bay is part of the “Lieblingsplatz Hotel” of the hotel chain of the same name. In May 2018, I personally only visited the restaurant and so of course this contribution is only aimed at the quality offered there. I became noticeably on the restaurant through its regularly changing online map, which awakened the hope of a welcome change to the “usual” food offer and a cuisine not only aimed at feeding as many tourists as possible. The hotel is housed in a beach villa and is therefore more likely to be associated with the smaller category. This, together with the facility, ensures a homely ambience. The restaurant area opens towards the beach side and gives the guest both sea views and a large outdoor area. Here you can also relax on padded benches. During my stay on a Sunday afternoon, a very young team took care of the operation of the well-stocked local, but this task became attentive and friendly. Despite the urge, I was asked as a single guest about the satisfaction during the supply, which I found very positive. In addition, access to the in-house Wi-Fi is also provided here, even if you are only a guest of the restaurant. At the time of my visit the flame cake “Mediterranean” spoke to me most with zucchini, chorizo, sheep cheese, olives and cherry tomatoes from the offer. The dough was correspondingly thin and also crispy to a good flame cake. The sheep's cheese formed the basis of the covering and was well chosen and dosed with its saltiness and spiceiness. Tomatoes, zucchini and olives were also of fresh quality. In contrast to the chorizo, the portion of vegetables should have been somewhat larger. It is a pleasure that the first one was not saved. Overall, however, it was only a bit cloudy, because the creation was still very tasty and also fulfilled the expectation of a Mediterranean aroma. In summary, on the basis of my visit at that time, I can report the quality of the restaurant Positive both in terms of ambience, service and food.

The location is right on the beach, very nice. Our room 26 at the top was great. If someone can't climb the stairs, don't book the room. You have to make 3 times ascending: for us that was not a problem. This also makes the view from the window very beautiful. The only thing and did not like it: the room was not clean during our stay from Do to So. We got the clean towels at the Putzmann in the hall after which we were asked. This place can definitely be called a favorite place.

It was great. The two girls are very attentive and facing. Breakfast was delicious and it was also asked for drinks. It's not everywhere. Absolutely not my last visit there. Thank you.

Very friendly relaxed and very courteous staff. Drinks and food offer very appealing. Uncomplicated and committed. The hotel is really a small pearl. We look forward to coming back!

The location on the beach and the promenade is of course top, we had a room with sea view and large balcony. The staff was friendly. What I didn't like was the bathroom. This was very small, so it also stood in the description, as far as it is ok, you can arrange yourself (although not to be too inviting to body construction). But then why do you make everything so dark, the walls and floors in dark gray, so that you don't see the dirt like that?! On heating towel holders were thick hard-papped dust layers, with regular cleaning it shouldn't come as far! I personally find this extremely unhygienic. The mirrors were not clean, even in the room. The sink was too small and too low for me and the lighting was inadequate but I have now traveled in almost all bathrooms. Everything seems to be more adapted to male needs. The pillows on the bed were pretty stubborn, but we still sleep well. There was enough storage space, the room itself was nicely large. Of course, such an old building is also bright-hearing, but here we hardly had any problems, the neighbors were fortunately no loud night owls. Breakfast was ok, for me, scrambled eggs are the most important. All coffee drinks were included, that was great! The cooling device for cutting, etc. is not so good to use, it is necessary to grind the panes and it can only operate one person if it changes from right to left and the pane has to be turned back. Luckily, however, there was rarely greater urge. It's probably more going on in the summer, I guess. Parking is very limited, fortunately a public is not far and also very cheap, that was not further wild. As long as you're on foot and you don't have to drag too much. Unfortunately, there is no food offer there during the day except cake I did not find so stupid. Nothing's going on in the evening.
