Nice staff, who seamed accustomed to english speaking tourists. The vegetarian gratin-option was all right and plentiful, but not much of an experience. The place and the history surrounding, was very interesting and the food seamed to be a local speciality therefore a must...try The cellar was slightly cold in January, so make sure to wear a good sweater when visiting in the wintertime.

The restaurant is situated in the historic cellar underneath the medieval Heiligen-Geist Hospital in the northern part of the old town. The cellar itself is beautiful with some interesting architecture. Obviously, potatoes are important on the menu, but also good local fish is available. The...food we had was okay without being great and service too was okay.

Our family spent all day walking around beautiful Lubeck and we were very happy to sit down at an outside table to get a drink. We followed the corona rule of registering with the Luca app and waited (and waited) for someone to bring us...a menu. The waiter (tall, blond man) continued to ignore us and serve others, even when my husband called out to him a couple of times. When my husband finally had to loudly call to him, he angrily said if we had been “placed” at the table we would have received a menu. A couple which came after us received the same lecture, but they at least were then given menus (as opposed to being ignored). We promptly got up and left they did not deserve our business. This restaurant needs to train their staff in basic customer service principles and appropriate “tone of voice” when speaking. Just to note, we speak German so it was not a language misunderstanding.

A restaurant that is compatible with the rest of the medieval experience of being in Lübeck. We visited this place during a trip across Germany. We stayed two nights in Lübeck and needed a place for a dinner. The restaurant is located in a very nice historic cellar which looks gorgeous. The menu was large including different style of typical North...German food. We decided for a turkey steak and a „Ratsherren Pfanne“ with porc filet. Both was tasty. The service was also friendly and efficient. They provided the dog with a bowl of fresh water.
