Bistro ABACO - Ludwigshafen

This restaurant is just a few minutes walk from the hotel basf, rene bohn. we had a small dinner (3 people) during the week and it was good-sized menu and good service.

I ate in this restaurant during a business trip with colleagues. the service was friendly, but eating was not wise to remember. real foods that are often made better at home.

Even though it calls itself bistro, it's basically a restaurant. The menu should allow for everyone to order something they like. There's an additional menu for lunch, and changing specials. The place has a large outside seating area surrounded by a small park. Inside there...are changing art exhibits by local artists. Prices are reasonable and the service is above average. A good choice if you're in the area, no reservations required when the outside seating area is open, otherwise I'd recommend calling ahead.

The Bistro Abaco, apparently one of the previous owners was a great Bahamas fan, continues to provide a solid quality and efficient, friendly service, even for larger groups. The selection on the menu ranges from local dishes and Flammkuchen to steaks they even manage...well done steaks, not always something one can find in Germany. During the summer season, there 's an outside seating area. The inside, which includes a sun room, is decorated with art work, usually by local artist, that 's for sale. There 's a good selection of wines, probably a must for a restaurant in this wine growing area. I 've been there with larger groups from work, but we have become quasi regulars by ourselves as well.

One of my favorite places in Ludwigshafen . A great place to sit outside and catch a meal. My favorites include flammkuchen, pfannkuchen, and gourmetsalat. All of the food is fresh and server makes you feel like are part of the community. All the portions are huge so come hungry.
