As soon as I stepped inside, I was transported back to the nostalgic vibe of an old-fashioned candy and malt shop. I ordered a meal featuring roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, and dressing, and I was pleased to learn that they roast their turkeys right on the premises. My wife opted for the chicken salad. Our server, who was a local, was friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. I indulged in a classic malt, while my wife chose the amaretto cherry sundae, topped with hot fudge. It was pure decadence!
The food is good, and the staff is incredibly friendly, but they seem a bit frantic during peak hours. The restaurant has a classic hometown atmosphere and is very family-oriented.
Whenever I'm in Ludington, this is my go-to spot. I usually visit just for the ice cream, although I've tried their breakfast a couple of times. The ice cream never fails to impress, though it is a bit on the expensive side. There's almost always a long line for ice cream, but it tends to move fairly quickly. As for the food, it's typical diner fare—nothing too extraordinary, but it tastes great. The main draw of this place is its charm and history; stepping inside feels like a journey back to the 1950s. It could be nostalgia from my childhood, but I absolutely love it here.
What a great little place. The staff was very friendly, they were patient but were quick once you ordered. The ice cream was delicious, cold, creamy and so many choices! This place has such a great vibe. We will certainly be back!
Great spot with actual home cooked food and ice cream. The turkey dinner was almost like home... I will definitely be back next time I'm in Ludington.
