Great wine they also do a lovely iced coffee, great service from friendly chatty staff. Fab place to finish the night off.

Great staff. Only had two glasses of wine each and they produced a large plate of anti-pasti free of charge. Asked for Liquor coffee with Kahlua which they had never done before, but produced it perfectly with a lovely heart on top.

I visited Betty Blue on a two-week trip to Lucca after reading about it as the recommended spot for Internet access in a Rick Steves guidebook. The vibe is very different from any other cafes I've been to in Lucca--black, white, and red with pop art decorations, leather couches, and tables with bright plastic chairs. The Internet is now free (a pleasant surprise as the book had reported 4.50 euro/hour) and very fast, allowing me to not only catch up on email but also download a movie and several books. The wifi also has no complicated passcode system unlike all of Lucca's free wifi networks, which is great if you don't have an Italian phone number and want to use multiple devices. My only complaint is that for an Internet cafe, they have very few outlets except in a designated printer area that lacks the charm of the rest of the bar. The coffee and beer we had were good and reasonably priced. The baked goods were not as good as at Lucca's many specialty bakeries, but still tasty and did the job if you want to come here for Internet and a drink.
