Woody's Pizza, Grill, &pub - Lubbock

Sat on woodys on 34th and I tell you everyone should eat a meal or 4 here. welcomed and sit fast. the server (natalie) was very polite and made a few suggestions. the mushrooms and zucchini had to begin. both were excellent and I loved that they were salted and the sauce was perfect, not only ranch as everywhere else. the kiddo ordered the Mac-n cheese with fries and loved it. it was good, not the blue box like a few places. the woman had the patty melt with curly frries. the wobbles were perfectly cooked and so was the patty. great taste and juicy. I ordered the reuben and salate. the reuben had good taste. the only complaining about mine was that the carved bark is cut thin and placed on the grill so that it dried the meat a little. not complaining. I still ate it and was happy with the taste and in portions. natalie has made a great job. they had good music. an important thing that I liked to see was that it on the menu that takes 30 minutes to make. that tells me they make it fresh to order and want to make sure that they know that it does not come in 5 minutes, as some can expect. Finally we added a pizza to take home because it just looked too good not to try. I have to edit this later and let them know how it turned out, but it looks great. the total time from the entrance to the exit, including the addition of the pizza at the end, was less than an hour. will definitely be back. great service, atmosphere and better eating.

Pizza is a mess. Entire thing shifted to one side from driver. Everything else is alright. UPDATE: We believe it was a one time issue and the management was amazing in trying to rectify the situation.

This is our neighborhood restaurant . We 're picking something up here at least twice a week. I suggest ordering one of their named specialty pizzas instead of a build-your-own. Standard crust is a thin crust full of herbs, etc. No airy-fairy carb bomb crusts here.

We have been ordering Woody's and their pizza is fantastic. The T-Dog is extra pepperoni and cheese which is delicious but can be greasy; the Pineapple Express is excellent all around. Their burgers are also great and I think are too often overlooked.

True Chicago style Deep Dish pizza, you don't see that too often. Very good and fairly priced. Dessert was awesome, too! (Pictured: Fried Cheesecake) Will certainly be coming back!
