The Shack - Lubbock

My wife and I were in Lubbock due to medical issues with our son, and we were eager to explore the local food scene. However, we were quite disappointed until we discovered this hidden gem. If you're in search of delicious comfort food (with healthy options available), you won't be let down. The portions are generous, and the staff are some of the kindest people we've ever encountered. It felt like being fed by my own grandmother. If you want a wonderful dining experience in a great atmosphere, don’t miss out on this place. It’s family-friendly, conveniently located off the highway, and the prices are fantastic! We highly recommend the Red Raider Burger and the Andre Emmett chicken salad.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I tried the hot bar, which featured meatloaf (not normally my favorite, but I really enjoyed it here), steamed cabbage, scalloped potatoes, and a cheesy roll. For dessert, there was a cherry dump cake. My friends ordered steak fingers, which were also delicious. I definitely recommend checking this place out! The staff was very welcoming and incredibly friendly—it's just a fantastic spot overall.

Tried their Friday night all you can eat catfish chicken tenders. It was outstanding! Had all the trimmings you would expect and delicious cobbler to top it off! Open 5-8 pm on Fridays.

We were looking for a BBQ place and were happy this place lived up to the hype. The variety of sauces was excellent. Easy to get to and worth the drive. Don't miss out on the loaded potato salad.

We try to go at least once a week. Daily specials on hot food table, serve yourself with dessert included. Menu is great too. Steak fingers, burgers, sandwiches, salads are outstanding. Friendly service always! open 11:00 -3:00 Mon-Fri and fish fry Fri nights.
