Finally!. Not from LBK usually disappointed in the 'Mexican ' food here. we were going to try another place, but read the reviews first. followed a reviewer 's recommendation for this place headed out this morning. the restaurant was clean the servers were very, very nice. the food was as close to what we were looking for as it has gotten here! very surprised! the hubby had chilaquilles I tried the huevos rancheros. mine was okay, not oh-my-goodness good, but edible. the hubby 's chilaquilles came with a small steak that was tender flavorful. the red sauce wasn 't what we were used to, but very nice! at least it wasn 't some canned chile con carne hot dog sauce stuff that other places use. the menu has a lot of interesting choices you don 't typically find in LBK we will be back to work our way through them!
New Business. This restaurant has replaced what used to be Mar y Tierra. Now, they have $1 tacos and focus more on Mexican food than seafood. It seems that new people have taken over. I had their Huevos Rancheros and they weren't too bad. The service was good and menu is noticeably different.
First time coming to the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and attentive, especially our waitress she always made sure we had full drinks and our food was good. The restaurant was very clean and the tables were not that close to each other. They do have an open salsa which you can also take some with your leftovers. We order cocktail shrimp, tacos de Asada, and birria tacos. Food was delicious well seasoned and cooked. Highly recommended!!! Truly a Mexican restaurant and not a Tex Mex.
Food Is Fresh and Delioushish af, they have a salsa bar with different levels of heat that all taste good. Our waitress was supper attentive and made sure we were always doing good even though she had her hands fill. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back when in Lubbock. Only downside was the prices on some of the seafood were a little high but were legit far far from the ocean so I get it
