Places like Casola's are few and far between in Lubbock, so it is exciting to stumble upon something outside of the range of Tex-Mex, burgers, or generic

I was looking forward to trying this place and I would have to say that it was just okWhen I walked in, there was no one.

I was really excited to try this place after reading the reviews, but the food was just OK.

Super friendly staff and atmosphere! Great drink specials live music some nights and karaoke on the weekends. Under new management for the past 6 months. Highly recommend checking it out! The cheese sticks, zucchini sticks, and poppers are def worth trying!

My Home Away From Home. The Skoon is my 'Cheers ' (just like the guy said below . I walk in, they know me and they know my drink. I don 't have to worry about dressing up or trying to impress anyone. This is where I go to hang out with friends and actually be able to hear our conversations (except for late night Friday and Saturday during karaoke . You won 't hear any loud shitty music here; it 's more of a bar for us late 20s 40 somethings. I love that I can walk in and hear some nostalgic music from the alternative 90s playing...Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, and everything in between.<br/ <br/ You won 't find the frat crowd here, and thank God, few sorostitutes, as well. You won 't find the annoying 'there to get laid ' crowd, either. This is a friendly bar with folks who respect your right to sit alone at a table and do homework, or read a book, or have a group discussion on politics and life (corner table by the fake exit, I 'm looking at you! ; <br/ <br/ Yes, it 's smoky, yes they make delicious bar food, yes it 's a great place to go. I 've been a patron for about 10 years and will continue to be for as long as I can.
