Braum's Ice Cream Dairy Store - Lubbock

I liked their ice cream. We had one cream, cherry and pecan ice cream with cone. It was only 2$ I think. My husband had banana split (6$ . It had three flavors: strawberry, chocolate, don?t know the other flavor. Both of the ice creams looked good and tasted yummy. I think this is the cheapest and good ice cream I have had in a long time.

Our visit was somewhat disappointing. We ordered two regular menu items a cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger, one with no mayo, one with no onions. We received our food very quickly, but both burgers were completely wrong, as though they just picked up the wrong items and put them on the tray. We weren't upset by that because mistakes happen. We just took them back and requested the right burgers. But then we waited. And waited. And waited. About 15 minutes. Hubby reminded them that we were waiting and they said they were waiting on fresh meat. It was frustrating. They did eventually bring out the correct burgers and even offered more fries, which we declined. The high points were that the fries were delicious and the young man who took our order was very friendly. We will give them another try hopefully this was just an off day.

Update on 21/3/21. We have been here several times and the burgers are pretty good. Shakes are thick and have to let them melt so you can drink them. They were fairly busy, but not overwhelmed. I noticed the shake machines were not being cleaned between shakes and there was ice cream/milk spilled on the counter around them This is s relatively new location and still pretty rough around the edges. We went through the drive thru which was fairly busy. They have a double drive thru that filters into 1 line to pay/pick up your order. Very slow moving approx 20' wait. Lots of Food options breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as ice cream. You can upgrade to a shake with combo meals for free so we got a chocolate and vanilla. I got a chicken club...little disappointed as the picture showed Swiss cheese and came with American, blah. Chicken was dry/overcooked/tough, too small for the bun and too much mayo for my taste. I will say that it did have plenty of bacon though. Fries were inconsistent some were crispy and some were soggy. Shakes were good, thick with good flavor, but not outstanding. Not sure either if us was impressed enough to return.

Ok so the store is good but the hygiene is the worst. The person THREW THE TRASH and just left it over there touching the produce door. The person who was giving us Ice-cream picked up the trash from the floor DIDN?T WASHED hands and was scooping ice cream. Also we WASN?T WEARING GLOVES

First time I've had them. They don't exist In California but man oh man they are good. The bag o burgers yes and the ice cream specialty. Very much a definite goto now that I live in town. Prices are great for taking kid out for a quick treat. Don't let them order large frozen yogurt cone thing is massive n like $2 or so. Cool little grocery store attached to it aswell so ya can get a treat and so groceries for latter.
