Afternoon Tea The Garden

A lovely setting in a lovely country hotel. We had our lunch in the lounge area near to the TV. Little disappointed as when we first arrived they had no knowledge of our booking. They said their computer system had not caught up with the open table app?! Having arrived half an hour early as tea was booked for 2pm we were given the choice to have a drink which we did. The food arrived and the waiter disappeared. We had to ask for tea and coffee. I thought this would be in the price but I think we had to pay for the coffee I had?! The food was lovely cannot fault that. We then waited for the 1 waiter working that day to ask for the bill,he apologised for not being around as it was one of those days and said something about staff shortages. Overall good but a little disappointed as I felt it was a little disogranised.

Afternoon tea is terrible, don't bother. Cakes are awful.

Food was not edible, tea was not drinkable, although the staff were friendly and very nice the service was horrendous. The worst restaurant I have ever been to. No idea how this place is still running.

Wanted to support a local hotel so tried there for Sunday lunch. The food was tasty although the dessert was a bit disappointing. It did feel like starters and desserts were plated and left not warmed up. However the restaurant had a really homely feel and the staff were friendly and attentive. We would go back.

Had a fab lunch here with friends. Coronation Chicken sandwich was very tasty, big pieces of chicken in a homemade sauce with 3 slices of bread crisps on the side! Second time I have been here for lunch and will definitely return! Highly recommend!
