El Potro Mexican Grill - Lowell

Oh my goodness... the food at this restaurant is incredibly delicious, the atmosphere is fantastic, and their margaritas are amazing! And let's not even begin to talk about the Mariachis that perform every Sunday – I am absolutely in love with this place.

Looked at the Google reviews and went to this restaurant. We were served crushed chips to begin with. The burrito had way too much oil in it. When we told the waiteress that the chips are all crushed, she replied saying it was the end of the batch and still did not have the courtesy to replace them. Overall bad experience and won't recommend.

Wonderful service great food! Husband and I went out to dinner with friends before a concert in Lowell. Though the restaurant was very crowded service was friendly and prompt. We were sitting outside and when it started to sprinkle they Moved us to a table with an umbrella. The food was very fresh and seemed authentic.

Such a fun place! The interior is colorful and a bit over the top (but in a good way), and the margaritas were perfect. I highly recommend starting off with one of the tamales, they were incredible. I had the encheladas de mole which were really tasty, but i got to taste the chimichanga with pork carnitas as well, and that was out of this world.

The Food wasn't bad and the service was alright. This place is definitely on par with the average Mexican food spots in the area.
