Captain Fish Tavern - Loutra

Really bad experience and a shame the reputation the shop had which was the reason we visited in the first place. The starter salad did not make the best impression. It had only oil, no vinegar or salt, and some rotten leaves mixed in with the fresh ones. Then came the captain's platter and leveled it all! We chose it because we saw that it had a wide variety of seafood. What a shame...The quantity is satisfactory, the raw material indulgently unacceptable. The swordsman stank, we left him intact. Stale or rotten, we'll never know. The mussels were frozen (if possible in a shop in Halkidiki!! and probably not Greek. The only thing of note was the 4 prawns and 4 small crayfish. These, yes, were delicious. On a plate that is charged 50 euros. I leave it to you to judge whether this is value for money. However, we left with upset stomachs (and since it wasn't the swordfish's fault that it was never eaten, it must have been the excellent quality oil that the shop uses . First and last time.

Appetizers and main courses were prepared with fresh ingredients and tasted excellent, reflecting the region's rich culinary tradition. Each dish was a pleasant surprise, with a variety of choices to satisfy every culinary preference. The environment of the restaurant was comfortable and welcoming, with a relaxing and pleasant environment. The service was also excellent, with the staff always willing to help and offer advice on our choices. Overall, visiting this seafood restaurant was a really pleasant experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Halkidiki who is looking for an authentic seafood experience in a traditional and welcoming environment.
