Quills Coffee

Was staying near by and had the chance to try this place on a couple mornings. Had cold brew with house made caramel on one day and caramel latte another day. Both great. Luckily Starbucks was closed for renovations otherwise I may not had tried it. Definitely the better option.

Great cup of coffee and fast service even when busy.

Great coffee shop with lots of drinks. Standard coffees are awesome. Some of the flavored/specialty drinks are a bit overpowering. Pastries are a highlight.

Note: editing original review after horrible experience today. Received a text coupon for 5 bucks off after having not been around for a bit. I tried to purchase a bag of Night Owl online, but it said the shop was not accepting online orders. Fine, I'll walk down the street and grab a bag, use the discount there. Nope. Today I went to the shop, and at first, the guys pretended like I wasn't there. Waiting with my son, and then seemingly begrudgingly attended to, things were already off to an unnerving start. I don't know if these guys have had a bad day, as it was a busy morning there, but it was a very stark contrast to all my previous visits. I got the bag of Night Owl that I could not purchase online with the coupon code sent to me via text. Attempting to purchase it, they told me at first that it was just online only. Customer service pro tip: when you're not sure, don't lie to the customer. When I pointed out the coupon said in store, they fumbled at the register, then said they didn't know how to redeem it. I have typically had fantastic experiences with very kind baristas, but this was not that, at all. As such, I can't consciously recommend this place anymore, after that.

I've been coming here to study for a couple of years and usually love the coffee and atmosphere. However, during my last visit the wifi was down and the baristas were unhelpful. I ordered an almond latter which tasted like laundry detergent. Music was awful and way too loud to focus. Unfortunate for such a good spot but I will not be returning.
