We were seated in the outdoor area that's enclosed. Not usually a problem but the heat was out. There was the fireplace and a tiny space heater right next to the fireplace, but the gaping holes around the edges of the covers that are used on the openings rendered both useless if you weren't sitting by the fire. We couldn't change tables to sit away from the openings, as someone had requested the one closer the fireplace and there was a larger party coming and using the other smaller table. (note- the part did not use the table. We were encouraged to use blankets they provided. We did stay. Our server was excellent. She was very attentive and gave us wonderful suggestions. The food was also excellent. But eating with freezing hands while wearing a coat on with a blanket over my lap really did not add to the experience. I don't blame the hostess or wait staff for any of this. Suggestion for owner when there's no heat: Either turn away business OR get more space heaters for such occurrences. Yes, it might not be often. But I can tell you I will never be back in cold weather if I am to sit outside. I will not risk it.
This is my favorite place for lunch with my friend. We usually go one Wednesday month. We request the same table and waiter every time. We live in Floyds Knobs Indiana. The food and service is always great. Plus 1 2 price Wine on Wednesday is always a good value. Great atmosphere . I had my birthday dinner there last week.
Food was fabulous as was the atmosphere and service. As always, we enjoyed our visit to Village Anchor
Great place and love in the opposite. the restaurant was unique and the food was wonderful! my wife made suppe and appetizers and I had fried chicken, that's something I usually don't get when I came out, but when I saw a server going with him on the tablet was sold and I wasn't disappointed. the brown sugary old fashion was spot on! delaney, our server, was great! prost!
