We were informed it would be a 30-minute wait, so we decided to head over to 740 Front Steakhouse for a drink while we waited. When we returned 45 minutes later, we noticed there were empty tables and new customers being seated, even though we were supposedly next in line. The hostess glanced at me without acknowledging our presence, so we decided to leave. We won’t be coming back. It's disappointing, as we've heard great things about this place. Unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed what could have been a good dining experience.
The prices are too high for what you get. The hours are quite limited, and we attempted to visit several times only to find it closed. The food and service are just acceptable. I don't think we'll return.
Waited about 40 minutes to get our sushi. Place was completely empty, staff was extremely slow and could tell they didn’t care. Had a few pieces of sushi, quality is very low for the 4.4 stars they have. Would never go back. Barely ate any food. Girlfriend has severe stomach pain from a few bites. Meh.
Wanted to love this place. It’s cute and set up for success. We were the second table in the restaurant Saturday night family of four. It took us 1.5 hours to get our main meal and we were served after people who came in later than us. The place was maybe 2 3 capacity so the timing issues are a big red flag. Food was good quality and waitress was also professional thoughtful. This is a poorly managed place like what is noted in a lot of reviews below.
The poor service could have been overlooked but the prepping of the ingredients was sorely lacking (most of my California roll was cucumber) and the rolls fell apart easily when picked up. Unfortunately this was celiac friendly as far as I can tell but the service/food was lacking so much that I won't be coming back. Also, I have never heard of a sushi restaurant charging for ginger/wasabi. We got 5 rolls and were given ginger/wasabi for maybe 2 rolls and told more would cost us. That is not acceptable. I've literally never been charged for ginger/wasabi before.
