Spinelli's Pizza - Louisville

There are only a few options for pizza places in Louisville that have vegan cheese and meat substitutes. We ordered the veggie knots (which I would be like garlic knots), but they were more like a savory cinnamon roll-like with greens and daisy cheese rolled up in it and I wasn't really a fan. We also have a pizza outside the sausage. Kruste was thin and almost sweet, which I didn't really like. I wouldn't be longing the place if I wanted pizza, but it's nice that they're at least on vegetarians/vegans.

The pizza was okay. I felt like the crust was sweeter than I liked, but had a good gum. I think they use Daiya cheese, which is not my favorite. You can all vegetarian pizzas with vegan cheese, but there are no other fake meat substitutions, no Beyond Sausage was in online order. I was surprised how much I liked the vegan pizza. The cheese tastes nice, the crust was thin, and the sauce tasted fresh. Other reviews mention vegan meat toppings, but it was not an option when I ordered online. We ordered takeout and the only option was an 18 pizza. Updated by previous review on 2022-08-11

Maaaaaan were made from vegan cheese. I hope it is due to high demand and not go away

This place may not be full-vegan, nor are they incredibly knowledgeable of all things vegan but, the cook seriously knows what he 's doing with Incogmeato 'chicken ' and Follow Your Heart cheese. He created the best Vegan Chicken Parm I 've ever tasted. This thing should have been served with wet wipes because the cheese was SOOOO gooey. Delicious would be an understatement! My kids had fries, onion rings and vegan cheese pizza. My husband enjoyed a shockingly huge piece of non-vegan cheese pizza and friends experimented with the buffalo Frito pizza. Everything was amazing, the staff were incredible and this place... Let me just say that they couldn 't have possibly packed more character into one business.
