Royals Hot Chicken - Louisville

Our part of 3 each ordered something different. The tender piece in some heat was overall fairly mild but finished in a chili not. The sauce is grainy texture wise but not in a bad way at all. The side was spiced potatoes wedges which were solid but not spicy and the Mississippi Comeback sauce was fantastic. The tenders are dipped and served over white bread to soak up extra sauce. The chicken salad is in almost a sweet/sour coleslaw type of sauce. The bun was a bit heavy for the filling so I scrapped it off and just ate the salad bunless. The salad has nuts and raisins in it. Very different and I would get again. I had the broccoli bacon slaw. The bacon was smoky and the broccoli finely diced in a sauce similar to the chicken salad. The last item was the chicken tender tacos with no heat (saucless). They were great with oickles red onions and ranch dressing. The Mac and cheese side was excellent. Iced tea was on point as was the Chocolate Chip Chocolate shake. I would go back and I might take the sauce level up a notch.

We were exhausted and all the reviews said it was good. It was okay. A bit over priced. The spice level was Minnesota nice. If I had no other place to eat. I might eat there again.

Hands down some of the best hot chicken ever. Easy menu to choose from, choose how hot you want your chicken to be, and boom your food is out with a very short wait. I got the paminto hot honey chicken, the breading was absolutely perfection, extra moist chicken, and my hubby got the Royal Chicken hot, he said it would go back for all meals of we lived there. Not only were the sandwiches on point (even the buns were the legit) the sides were delish too. We got the broccoli salad and the coleslaw, this place clearly knows there stuff. We shall be back, if you open on in WA we will be your #1 fans. I really enjoyed the X-hot chicken tenders. I find this way too hot for me but I enjoyed it a lot. Also the broccoli salad is so delicious too! They have good variety of chicken you can chose. This place is more of flavor by how much heat you can handle it. They have good selection of beers but try their milkshake with bourbon in it. So delicious.One important tip to know that I accidentally forgot and felt bad. Clean up your table by throw away things. I didn't realize it after I left. SO i felt bad. Very important to clean up before you leave.Their fish sandwich is phenomenal and it is huge. Go and try it.Still the best. Even the Jumbo Chicken tenders are yummy too!

Great chicken had the chicken salad sandwich didn 't care for the bun. Liked the broccoli and bacon slaw. Loved the Exlir kombucha. Child had the tacos with no heat. They were great and his side of Mac was excellent. Spouse had the tender meal at some heat with the Mississippi Comeback sauce. The sauce is NOT like wing sauce so expect some texture to it. It had a nice amount of heat. Has the chocolate chip milkshake and great ice tea. Would definitely recommend. Fast service. Order at the register and get a number and the order is brought to your table. Clear your own table.
