We were told that morning when we rang (we can give you the phone bill when it arrives) that that game was to be shown live that afternoon (2:45pm). However, when we arrived, we were told by the owner that the game was not being shown because they would have to pay 500 dollars for it. We got talking to a number of other Irish fans who came to the pub to see the game and they said they had also been told that morning when they rang that the game was going to be shown (one is from the owner’s email: if you need proof) It seems pretty obvious to us (and those who attended) that the sole reason we were told the game was going to be shown was to get us into the pub to spend money. (Our bill came to 76 dollars) There were no apologies made after we made it clear to the owner that we had been spun a yarn. We stayed because we were also all told that the game was going to be shown later (which it wasn't). Let me assure you that we were all hugely disappointed with the establishment after this occurred. We are also very skeptical of a situation which occurred during the World Cup (soccer) in June when they advertised in a number of publications (including Velocity Magazine, Louisville) that they were going to give every customer a free drink for every goal USA scored during the tournament (which they did not adhere to). It was a promotion with BBC. We hate to see a fellow Irishman take advantage of other Irish people.
We were looking for a good and true Irish Pub and found one in Louisville! Great fish and chips...even on Sunday!! We'll be back!
Visiting from Iowa and heard this place was a rugby supporter. Check this place out, great place, great food!!!
Water and grilled chicken for my 16 year old dog to enjoy a patio lunch with me and a friend. Our poor server worked his butt off for us and kept a smile and a good attitude. Great food, excellent service. If you don't eat here, you should. :
Wandered in for dinner and a beer. Amazing service all around and my food was fantastic. Great Irish bar with all the right stuff, meeting the owner was the highlight. Great guy, great place...bought me a beer and I will certainly be back on my travels!!
