Cask Southern Kitchen - Louisville

This is a great spot for brunch! My wife and I have visited several times, and we've always been impressed. The staff is friendly, the drinks are fantastic (try the berry lemonade with vodka—you'll be glad you did), and the food is served promptly. It's a bit hidden, and we almost missed it at first, but I'm so glad we found it. I highly recommend it for a laid-back gathering.

The food here is absolutely AMAZING! My family and my boyfriend visited on Saturday for brunch, and we had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent, and the staff was incredibly kind to us. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. You definitely can’t go wrong with the chicken and waffles or the fried green tomatoes. The waffles were perfectly fluffy, and I loved the bourbon maple syrup! The ambiance is suitable for any occasion, whether you're out with friends, on a date, or enjoying time with family. I can’t wait to return!

This is a great spot to grab a sandwich or enjoy a dinner. I tried the meatloaf sandwich, and it was quite good, but the cheesy grits really stood out for me. The mac and cheese didn’t seem remarkable, yet my friend found it delicious. I was excited to see some of my favorites on the menu, like shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles.

This is an awesome place to have a meal. This was my first visit and I ordered the burger week special and is was slap yo momma delicious! All the flavors came together and popped on the tongue! The burger was juicy and mac-and-cheese was very creamy and tasty. To top everything off I ordered the cask cookie and it was amazing! I asked for the ice cream on the side because I planned to take to some of the cookie home but that did not happened. A big shout out to Brittany and Ashley for a wonderful dining experience.

8/19/23I've been wanting to try brunch here for a while. The grit fritters are delicious. My husband enjoyed his pancakes with bourbon maple syrup. The smoked Benedict was disappointing; maybe it's just my preference but I think a poached egg should be runny. These were totally hard and there was very little hollandaise so it ate dry. The server brought more hollandaise which really brought out the flavor, but I did miss the rich egg yolk.7/20/22Editing for Burger Week visit. If this were my first visit here I would not return. My $16 lunch was ok, but no where near the quality I know this restaurant can put out. And the service was basically non-existent: our order was taken and our food brought, that was it.
