Chef Charles House *the Bis'treaux

The best steak I've ever had in a restaurant. The best lemon custard pie I've ever had period. Everything was outstanding. Saturday dinner with friends and not a single person had a single negative thing to say.

Chef Charles prepared the BEST fish I have ever eaten in my entire life! It was a blackened mahi-mahi with lemon and garlic. The Cajun seasoning was PERFECT and it was NOT burnt, nor was the fish overcooked......two problems I see far too often. Do yourself a favor and eat at this restaurant. You will NOT be disappointed. I suggest you do as I did.....let your meal selection be “Chef's Choice”. I don't think you can go wrong if you leave it to such a gifted chef.

Fantastic. Deciding what to eat is a challenge, it is all amazing, and the gravy is stand-out. I take out-of-town visitors here for lunch so they have an opportunity to try the best versions of comfort food Baton Rouge offers.
