Lucille's - Louisburg

Trying new places does not often work in our favor. But this place turned out to be good. A little hole in the wall with good food and service. They have daily specials and they really sounded good. We ordered the PJ a western omelet with hash browns and toast with coffee and water. The hash browns were cooked to perfection, as was the omelet. I don't know what kind of bread they use but it was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. As stated in a previous review, this is a place where everyone knew everyone. My 4 star rating is due to the fact we only had breakfast and how bad can you mess up breakfast?

Lucille's Diner was once an excellent restaurant, but after Lucille left four years ago, the quality began to decline, similar to Misty's Kitchen. It closed down just after my second visit. The closure happened either at the end of last year or in January. Now, the place sits vacant.

I absolutely adore this place! My husband and I come from different small towns, and we currently live in Olathe. On weekends, we love exploring for hidden gems, and this spot did not disappoint. The food is old-fashioned comfort food at its finest. It was incredibly delicious. I was disappointed that they had run out of cinnamon rolls because I would have loved to enjoy one, even though I was stuffed. While we were dining, my husband showed me a picture on Yelp. The mashed potatoes were genuine, real mashed potatoes, and the okra was freshly fried. The biscuits and gravy tasted homemade, and for once, I finally found a place that knows how to cook eggs properly—they're not rubbery! I’m completely in love with this place. My family and I will definitely be returning, and I can honestly say that Cracker Barrel is now off my list entirely.

I absolutely adore the theme, the food, and everything about this place! It’s my go-to spot whenever I’m craving a delicious cheeseburger.

The chefs at Lucille's prepared the best chicken livers I have ever tasted! They were cooked to perfection, totally grease-free, large, fluffy, tender, and delicious—just a touch of honey mustard added a wonderful flavor. They truly melted in my mouth! My husband ordered a cheeseburger but couldn't resist snagging some of my chicken livers. He couldn't stop raving about how amazing they were, and I had to remind him he was preaching to the choir because I completely agree! You absolutely have to try them; they are, without a doubt, the best. A huge thank you to the cooks at Lucille's!
