La Mesa Mexican - Louisburg

It wasn't particularly impressive. I've experienced better dining at other locations. However, I understand that a new owner has taken over, and renovations are underway, possibly even leading to a new name for the restaurant. The previous establishment closed about six months ago, and I'm uncertain when the new one will open. There was a bidding war for this spot, and one of the Mexican restaurants in Paola was unsuccessful in securing it. The new venture promises to be much better.

In late fall 2022, this restaurant closed its doors one evening and has yet to reopen. I'm hopeful that a new establishment will take its place.

This place is not amazing. its the 'i 'm craving mexican but all the good places are a bit of a drive from here. So i 'll just get this quick to tie me over. place. I do want to point out that even though this location has been here for a while under the La Mesa name and even using the franchise website...The Franchise website does not have this location listed. I think it might have once been a La Mesa location but didn 't do so well so was sold cheap and from there on out it did it 's own thing. So i 'm sure True La Mesa restaurants up in KCK are far better. Wait staff is always super nice. High turnover though.

Only 2 servers for the whole restaurant and they got kind of busy. But we had pretty terrible service. Food was okay at best. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

The friendliness of the owners and wait staff, as well as the community are superb in Louisburg. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
