I can only recommend the barn. Our visit on Monday with friends is happy. The food is lovingly prepared, always has a personal touch of cook, simply class. In the meantime, vegan is also cooked again. The service was very dedicated and attentive. Even with critical friends, praise did not stop. Next, in the form certainly the restaurant tip in the North Saarland! The large beer garden with many beautiful places invites you. We come back!!!
Unfriendly service and very bad food. Despite a table reservation for 20:00 and food order at 20:30, the food was served until 22:00. The plates were very sweet dressed point of service was miserable. The service encouraged the guests. I knew this restaurant from many visits in the past. I was never as disappointed as my last visit to the 28th. July 2018. The whole visit was a single disaster. I won't pick up this place again.
Had met me with friends in the barn of Schumacher, here we ordered Div. I had ordered a lapping steak with roast potatoes (P.-Fritten is not here) The steak was burned that already black layers were dissolved. The tanned side was placed in the herbal sauce. The roast potatoes were cooked in oil-white slices. When I got a beer shortly after dinner, I showed the service, the burnt steak answer I say in the kitchen. When about an hour later the stek was still 3/4 on the plate, the so-called roast potatoes were still all in the pan because of oil unfit. Here the service asked if it had cost. For the burned R-Steak and the oil potatoes I had to pay €22.50.
Respect! It really takes courage to change such a big barn to a restaurant. It is correspondingly huge inside. A large, extremely high room with gallery where there is another guest room. It is worth going upstairs there are also the toilets and look down. Imposing! You don't want to think about the heating costs. But still is summer and you can also sit quite nice outside, not far from the large public parking lot, which is thankfully free. The service is very friendly and attentive. As an appetizer we had Melone with ham (6.80 € and an appetizer dish (9.90 €). The quality of the ingredients is not very high. Okay, it's not the price. As a main dish there were Spanferkel (13 € and Rumpsteak (18,50 €). Since as a meat supplier it is probably also about other ingredients called organic farms, we went out from a very high quality. The meat was really not besodner's good, only my roast potatoes were, according to my taste, very good. We had a bill of over €60 and were not so satisfied that we would come again. Nevertheless, all the good to the operators. You've created something beautiful and you're trying to be honest. Stay with the cook to wish that he is ready for improvement and capable. PS: In general, homemade latencies are praised there. Maybe try it out.
