We visit this place tpday, here is how it went: nobody attended us at arrival, no hostess... nothing. The place wasn 't crowded at all, just 2 couples and a table with 4. Plenty of tables available. After 15 min of standing up in the entrance this guy (who didn 't greet us) approaches and says we can sit wherever (he appears aloof and standofish while saying this, he disapears like flash right after) so we chose a spot and sit, this guy never give us a menu!? after 20 minutes the aforementioned guy says we need to move! , bc we couldn 't be sitting there , no explanation offered. We change sits but at this point we start feeling annoyed with his attitude. After what seems like an eternity he reappears and shouts what are you going to order? At this point we stand up and go, we refuse to give business to people that clearly shouldn 't been in a customer service business.
I popped in for a quick beer on a random weekday and enjoyed discovering the back patio. They had a sour beer on tap ! which you don’t find everyday. I liked all the plants and the ample seating in the back patio.Staff were friendly. Prices were on par with other places in the area. Not outrageous nor inexpensive Great for a chill visit- unless you don’t like German beer? I imagine it gets crowded on weekends, because of its many positive attributes. Parking can be a challenge, even on weekdays. I parked on a residential street and walked a couple blocks. Easy peasy.
Good Austrian food. Got the burger but a little warning doesn't come with fries. You can add them for 3 dol extra. The strudel was delicious. It was busy on a Thursday evening. Good beers. Plenty of parking around the street. Prices a little steep.
Reason for visiting: happy hour work/work get togetherDate/time of visit: Thursday evening, 6:00 PMParking: street parking; should try to come early or Uber. This is one place where Uber is worth it ?. I found the last spot on Venice and walked over. There's parking in front but it was all taken by 5:30 PM, 2 HRs. There's street parking further down on Grand View, away from Venice but it's 1 HR parking (who stays at a bar for an hour or wants to worry about moving their car ? .Party size: 10Environment/ambience: pretty chill; we sat in the back. It was cool outside but flies once in a while. TVs on with Dodgers game on, no sound.Service: was cool; came around often. Doesn't talk much but knows what everyone ordered.Food: didn't eat; only had the house Lager, 2.Cost: didn't pay; on the company ?. But I would estimate 2 beers, $25.
